Goodbye Redhat Linux, Hello Fedora
Posted by admin on Thursday, November 06, 2003 - 03:09 PM
Red Hat admin writes "Redhat have announced that there will be no more home-user releases of Redhat Linux. The company wishes to re-focus on their business desktop and server offerings.

In related news, Redhat is to stop supporting and releasing updates for older releases of Redhat Linux up to and including 8.0 on the 31st December.

But don't fear, Redhat Linux shall live on as the Redhat-sponsored Fedora project. Version 1 has just been released (what would have maybe-eventually been the next Redhat release), download it here (UK mirror). It can even upgrade your existing Redhat installation. "
