Over the next month you can expect to see the releases of Redhat 9.0, SuSE 8.2 (announcement here) and most likely Mandrake 9.1 as well (unconfirmed).
The new SuSE release sounds really good with all the updated software (KDE 3.1 particually) and integrated wireless LAN support in the YaST configuration tool.
I've gone off SuSE recently - I think the new version might just change my mind.
